Contrast Events was founded in 2020, just before the world changed with Covid 19.
John spent many years working as firstly a preparation technician, and client liason at Edric Audio visual from 1988-1995. He then joined Blitz Vision (Communications) as a technician. From here he started to specialise in video equipment in live events. Working in all sizes of events from televised Olympic Games, Festival of Remembrance, to car launches and high end tech companies such as Microsoft, Facebook/Meta, Google and Adobe.
John was a freelancer from 2000 – 2020 where he continued with his knowledge of video and IP delivery protocols.
In 2020, One of John’s clients requested that he become a Limited company, at which he obliged and began his path with Contrast Events. With the Covid period of mainly virtual events, John invested in a large quantity of Vmix and video equipment, to do the work on offer and to also look to the future once Covid had passed.
We now offer a range of cost effective solutions that we are able to offer to suit most budgets and timescales. With Video, Lighting and Audio Equipment now available from our stock to dry hire, or be used on events we are hired to produce.
We have been producing Virtual, Hybrid and In Person Events since we were formed (and a long time before this, streaming Darts in our spare time) as well as fully remote Hybrid events, delivering video content and remote presenters from our base in Hatley st George.
We have developed modern workflows which incorporate the latest technology as well as the latest delivery methods and are confident we can fulfill any requirements from our customers.
